We at MECHON believe that it is crucial that our fellow engineers have sufficient understanding of our technologies, their uses, and how they relate to current legislation. We do this for two reasons:

• We feel it’s our social responsibility (specifically with young engineers) to provide an understanding of how our technologies work and what is required to assist in drawing up a specification for any current or future protects.
  
• Systems designs relating to COSHH and the environment are guided by legislation, however, in an industry without any governing or trade body, no formal training or qualification is required to undertake theses designs. We aim to make you aware of the requirements for good systems design and their relation to current legislation, approved codes of practise, and best available techniques, allowing you to determine the competency of the firm you wish to employ.

This section is new to the MECHON website and we endeavour to continue expanding it into an extensive resource library.
